part 42

Adam continues scrolling trough his gallery, turns out iku took some pics while he was gone pissing. And iku gets worried that she might’ve over stepped and came off too strong. She goes and asks her employees what they thought of the gathering, they liked it a lot, so maybe iku can do this again sometime. When iku meets Adam during the weekend she’s more warm to him, as in not doing the “flirting-maybe-breaking-a-lot-of-boundaries-that-usually-shouldn’t-be-broken-between-an-employee-and-a-boss” but more like a sweet friend who likes giving hugs. Jimmy is hanging around as iku is silently preparing herself for the job on Monday.

Construction finally began on the rooftop pools, so sometimes there’s some noise in iku’s apartment. iku did tell Jimmy about the pools, he got very excited. iku enjoys his enthusiasm for the pools and decides that she should probably go and have some fun with him when the pools get done. Still being on the edge if she really should enter the water with him but she figures that having Anna there would be a safe choice, Nate also updates iku that they’re gonna be late by a week.

Monday comes.

iku takes Jimmy to school, says bye to him and goes home. Anna let her self in during that, she’s pacing up and down near the sofa, stressed.

iku gets in, and sees Anna and two cases on the table.

iku: (“Hey.“)

Anna runs up to iku and tries to hug her, iku picks her up and hugs her tight.

Anna: (“Oh thank god you’re okay.”)

iku puts her down.

iku: (“I was only gone to drop off Jimmy.“)

Anna: (“Yeah, yeah, I know… It’s just…” sighs )

Anna: “hungarian” (“I’m really fucking worried. I still don’t like this job, it’s way too risky. Maybe you shouldn’t have taken it.”)

iku: “hungarian” (“Relax, it’s going to be fine, difficult yeah, but I can do this. And hey, 2 mill and the rest of the things? It’s worth it.“)

Anna: “hungarian” (“Come the fuck on, what will that 2 mill do for you if your brain is painted on the concreate?!… I’m.. sorry… I shouldn’t have said that…“)

Anna buries her face in her hands.

Anna: “hungarian” (“It’s just that this can go so wrong so easily. I really want you to stay safe yknow. Like… You die and then what? Everything we did is going to be pointless. I’m gonna be fucked. And… you’d die in vain..”)

iku walks up to Anna and puts her hand on Anna’s shoulder.

iku: “hungarian” (“It’s going to be fine. Promise. I’m glad that you’re so worried about me, but I will wipe the floor with them, okay? Now I’d rather have you show me my stuff instead of having a nervous breakdown, get it together please.“)

Anna: “hungarian” (“Yeah.. Okay. Sure..“)

Anna: (“They’re they are. As you requested, Kalash 47 and a KSG-25. That shotgun was fucking heavy.”)

iku goes and opens the two cases, The 47 - ol’ reliable, is the go to choice for when she wants a rifle, the shotgun on the other hand is a big big mean shotgun, holds 25 shots (seriously monster shotgun, i can’t do it justice by describing it, go look it up.). iku ditches her small gun so in total she’s bringing 3 guns. she also has two leather back holsters for them, and her usual holster for the deagle.

She has plenty of ammo, she doesn’t need to worry about that. The job starts at 9pm.

The rest of the day goes by with some tense silence as iku is trying to keep herself calm. iku asks Anna to take care of Jimmy until they go to the square as she wants to be alone.

It’s 8pm, iku and Anna are close to the square and the Mayor and 2 or so officers are there with him.

Mayor: (“Ah it is so great to see you two.”)

iku: (“Mhm, I bet.“)

Anna is sticking close to iku.

Officer: (“We’re gonna be calling a lockdown in 30, so you get yourself ready.”)

iku: (“I’m going to be fine, officer.”)

iku puts down her guns and loads them as the mayor watches.
