part 33

(continuing from iku picking up Jimmy from school.)

Jimmy eagerly gets in the passenger seat of iku’s car, iku also proceeds to get in. iku wanting to give him a fun time is thinking about what they could do before heading home?

iku: (“Hey dude, do you wanna go somewhere before we head home? Like grab an ice cream or some pizza? I mean we gotta get into a grocery store too.“)

Jimmy: (“Oooh Oooh ice cream would be awesome!!”)

iku: (“Ice cream it is then.”)

iku starts driving, since Jimmy is there she keeps it down low, not speeding as much and not being as crazy while driving. While driving iku tries to strike up a convo.

iku: (“So, uh, what was school like? Or I don’t know, not really good at small talk. What was your day like?“)

Jimmy: (“School was boring until you showed up, my friends didn’t believe me that I know you.”)

iku: (“Oh you were bragging about me in school?“)

Jimmy: (“Not really bragging, just you know, I told them how you know my brothers. They didn’t believe me, called me a liar. They’re all saying that I should be afraid of you, and I tried to tell them that you’re a cool girl. But they said that all girls have cooties and you’re not cool. Something about their parents telling them.”)

iku: (“Well frankly I’m offended, I’m really cool.“)

Jimmy: (“That’s what I told them! Ah whatever, they’re just big idiots. Besides that nothing really interesting happened.”)

iku: (“You’re right, they’re big idiots. And don’t worry, we can do fun things from now… Oh right, Lucas asked me, do you have any homework?“)

Jimmy: (“No, we convinced the teacher to not give us any.”)

iku: (“Hah, that’s nice.“)

They arrive at the square, except there’s a lot of it locked down with a sign “Eurozone”. The ice cream shop is still open so iku decides that they should go there, there’s no construction going on at the minute. iku buys 2 scoops and she gets 2 scoops for Jimmy too. They sit down and iku decides to look up this eurozone.

It’s an effort by the Re.U.S. government to make parts of their territory “like Europe but without the danger”. Retro fitting parts of cities to look like European tourist spots, but without changing roads or any major infrastructure. Needless to say she’s absolutely disgusted by the idea. Jimmy notices iku’s facial expression.

Jimmy: (“Is there something wrong?”)

iku: (“Nah, it’s nothing, don’t you worry about it.”)

iku pats his head.

Jimmy: (“You know, you look real mean, but you’re really cool.”)

iku: (“Haha, thanks.”)

iku has a soft smile on her face.

They finish their ice cream and head down to the nearest supermarket to buy things, after that they go home to iku’s room.

Jimmy: (“Wooooaahh, and like this is all yours?”)

iku: (“Yup!”)

iku: (“That couch is extendable into a bed, real comfy honestly, so that’s where you’ll sleep.”)

iku: (“And I’ve got your console all set up with the tv.“)

Jimmy: (“And can I play now?”)

iku: (“Sure, I’ll make some food. Say, you have no issues with sour cream right?“)

Jimmy: (“I like it.”)

iku: (“Ah nice.”)

iku starts making layered potatoes (look up the recipe, very yummy) while Jimmy games.

iku texts Lucas;

iku <(“yo when do you guys send him to bed?“)

Lucas <(“around 9pm”)

iku <(“ah cool cool”)

Lucas <(“how are things so far?”)

iku <(“really nice honestly, i might’ve actually needed this”)

Lucas: (“glad to hear, anything else comes up just text me”)

iku sets the table, and they eat, Jimmy noting that he never seen anything like this before but he loves the taste of it, after that they play a shooter game in splitscreen. Jimmy called on iku for a 1v1. Poor kid didn’t know her game.

iku kicks his ass and shouts;

iku: (“360 Y Y, BITCH! Oh right, sorry.“)

Jimmy: (“Haha, you’re funny.”)

iku: (“Anyways, it’s 10pm, go take a shower and then go to bed.“)

Jimmy: (“Aw… Okay..”)

iku: (“Sorry man, you’ve gotta be well rested for school.“)
