part 34

A week goes by, and iku really started to enjoy having Jimmy around, just someone who’s not in the game, someone who has genuine joy in their life. One night iku heads down to the bar to check on Adam and his friends, she just tells Jimmy to ring her if there’s anything he needs.

By this point no one is confused by what’s going on, clearly iku likes someone in that group. As they talk they crack jokes and have a nice time, and eventually some topics come up, for example what kind of chocolate do you like.

Adam: (“I like milk and hazelnut chocolate. :)”)

iku: (“‘Cuz you like big fat nuts in yo mouth right?“)

Liam and Brian both go “oooooh”. They laugh it off, and Adam pretends that didn’t hurt him but iku notices.

iku: (“That’s okay I like em too.”)

iku pats Adam on the back.

Everything else goes fine but as iku heads off to sleep she starts worrying if she truly upset Adam or not. She finds it weird that she’s having that thought, she usually doesn’t care about stuff like that. But quickly she puts it together in her head, now it’s just a matter of when she makes a big move on him.

The next day while Jimmy is in school iku goes shopping, she looks for some hazelnut chocolate bars. She finds this expensive brand, it’s $20 for a single bar. She buys three.

Adam isn’t working that day so she starts asking people if they know where he is. Turns out he’s just in his room.

She knocks on the door. Adam opens it.

Adam: (“Oh hey Boss. Uhh what is that you need?”)

iku: (“Can I come in?“)

Adam: (“Sure, yeah, come in.“)

Adam let’s her in, and he sits back down to his low table, he’s doing something on his phone.

iku has the chocolates in an opaque plastic bag, she sets it down on the counter. She takes her jacket off too, to be more approachable and less scary, she’s not wearing her Kevlar vest, that’s immediately clear to Adam since iku’s top figure is now very visible. Adam of course doesn’t look, he wants to live and all.

iku: (“You look pretty tired, how long you’ve been up?“)

Adam: (“Got a new phone yesterday, and I started setting it up after you left, but it didn’t transfer my contacts so now I’m stuck readding all of it, there’s some people in here that I don’t even recognize, but eh whatever, might as well re add them.”)

iku sits down next to Adam at the low table, she’s really close to him. And it’s not like iku doesn’t sit close to Adam, it’s just never been this close, and iku never was so, well, undressed. Adam is a bit flustered trying to play it cool, since he doesn’t want iku to think that he’s eyeing her. iku has a sweet smile on her because she knows that her presence is enough to get Adam flustered, especially since they’re in private.

iku: (“Want me to help you with that? You tell me the name and number and I enter it?“)

Adam: (“Yeah that’d be real nice actually, thanks!“)

While going trough his contact list, they talk, nothing particular, just some silly banter and talking about things to do.

As they finish up, iku suggest playing around with the new phone, Adam agrees. After a while iku notices that Adam is asleep. He is very very tired.

iku: “in thought” (“It’s not even 3pm yet and he’s out cold. He must’ve been up all night. Awwee, poor dude… Wait did I really think that? I mean… it’s not like I hate him. I did buy him chocolate cause I felt bad. Oh shit right the chocolate, I should put that in the fridge.“)

She gets up and puts the chocolate bars in his fridge. Her needing to pick up Jimmy doesn’t let her stay until he wakes up, so she carries him into his bed and undresses him.

iku: “in thought” (“Man he’s out cold, didn’t even wake up to me undressing him… He doesn’t look half bad.”)

iku snaps a pic of Adam laying in his bed with only boxer shorts on. After that she tucks him in.

It’s 9pm, Adam wakes up, seeing that he’s in his bed, he thinks that this was a dream, his phone is next to him. He unlocks it to see some notifications.

There’s some messages from iku, she added her number to his phone while he was not looking.

Adam goes and checks the fridge, he sees the hazelnut chocolates, he opens one and breaks a piece off, it’s incredibly tasty.
